Kids like these...

I was in the changing rooms and I heard this little girl, she must have been 3 or 4? So I was trying on this dress when I heard her say
"CAN YOU MARRY GIRL GIRL?"
Her mum said maybe.
She then said
"MUMMY, CAN YOU MARRY BOY BOY?"
Her mum said not really.
She then said
"AND CAN YOU MARRY GIRL BOY?"
Her mum said yes.
The little girl said
"ARE YOU SURE?"
The mum said yes.
She said
"ARE YOU SUPER-DUPER SURE?"
The mum said yes again.
What the little girl said next really surprised me.
She said
"LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, MUMMY. PEOPLE SHOULD BE ABLE TO MARRY WHOEVER THEY WANT BECAUSE I SAW 2 BOYS HOLDING HANDS AND KISSING AND THEY LOOKED A LOT HAPPIER THAN MOST OF THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO WERE IN BOY GIRL RELATIONSHIPS SO THEY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO GET MARRIED."

I literally wanted to cry at that point.

Then she said
"AND IMAGINE IF CINDERELLA AND BELLE GOT MARRIED. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL AND I LOVE THEM AND LOTS OF GIRLS MY AGE LOVE THEM SO THEY WILL BE USED TO GIRLS GETTING MARRIED INSTEAD OF IT BEING WEIRD. MUMMY THE WORLD ISN'T FAIR."

I broke down in the middle of a shop.

Kids like these give me hope.
