Dan's POV

"This place is nice." I murmured, following the estate agent around. Phil nodded, smiling in approval.
"How much have we got?" He asked in a low voice.
"I'm not sure, around £750,000 I think." I replied quietly, keeping my voice in time with the footsteps on the laminate floor.
"Shit." Phil breathed. "That's a healthy little amount."
"Yeah." I laughed softly. "My grandparents were.... pretty rich."
"I'll say..."
"So, you like this one?" The man turned around and spoke quite quickly, his Irish accent making him difficult to understand at times.
"Yeah, I think we'll take it." I smiled.
"Okay, I'll leave you to look around. I'll be in the lobby when you need me."
"Thank you." Phil chipped in, before the blonde man left, shutting the door behind him.
"This really is nice." Phil looked around the living room, leading out on to the balcony. "We could have a TV there, with all the games and stuff.." He gestured to one corner of the room. "And a couple of sofas here..." He pointed to an empty space. "And here."
"You're good at this." I wrapped my arms around his waist and rested my chin on his shoulder, tilting my head slightly to kiss his cheek.
"Thanks.." He blushed. "And the coffee table goes here." He finished his shpeel.
"Sounds great." I mutter. "We're really doing this, huh?"
"Guess so." Phil pulled away, taking my hand. "C'mon, the view's nice at this time." He pulled me towards the balcony, sliding the door open and stepping out, putting both hands on the railing. I curled my body over his, intertwining our fingers and pushing my knee inbetween his legs. I stared out at the sky, it was just coming to dusk so the sunset over the Manchester city skyline was incredible. The soft pastel blues and pinks in perfect contrast with the bright orangey sun with its golden rays made the scene look picture perfect. Especially when Phil came into the equation.
"It's beautiful." Phil blinked slowly, unused to the view.
"Just like you." I reply, as if by instinct.
"Shh, you." He tipped his head back and looked up at me. I brushed his hair out of his eyes and kissed his forehead gently.
"This is going to work, isn't it?" He asked worriedly.
"Of course. We'll make it work. I'll get a job, you can too, if you want. We're legally allowed to leave school, and I guess that'd be the best thing to do right now. If we're comfortably living when we're older, we can go to Uni, get real jobs. We can do whatever we like. We always have the money to fall back on. And you never know, we might win the lottery one day." I winked at him and he giggled his beautiful little laugh.
"Okay, dreamer." He squeezed my hand lightly. "We should probably get back inside."
"Yeah." I sighed, I was enjoying just being there with Phil, but he was right. We needed to get this flat bought.
--
"Urgh, shopping is so boring." I groaned, trudging after Phil around Ikea looking for more furniture. "We've got sofas and beds, isn't that enough?"
"No! I need a beanbag." Phil looked around, obviously lost although he was doing everything in his power to deny it. He hadn't been to Ikea for years, if at all.
"Why?" I cried, throwing my hands in the air.
"For gaming, of course." Phil rolled his eyes, turning and walking in the direction that we just came. "They've got to be around here somewhere.." He muttered to himself.
"We've got a perfectly good sofa. 2 in fact! Why can't you use one of them?" I groaned.
"Because I want a beanbag. Now shut up and come and find one with me." Phil linked my arm, dragging me with him.
"Fine, but I better get something out of this." I said begrudgingly.
"I'll buy you a Shakeaway if you behave." He offered.
"Deal." I grinned
"It's like having a 5-year-old.." Phil sighed. I chose to ignore his comment and kept walking.

Phil's POV

"Daaaan!" I yelled from the kitchen, ransacking all the cupboards for some cereal. He wandered through the door, wearing only pyjama bottoms. He ran a hand through his messy, curly hair and looked around blearily.
"Hmm?" His voice was still croaky from sleep.
"It's 2pm! Why are you still asleep?" I cried.
"Well, I'm not any more." He muttered, pulling a breakfast bar stool out and flopping down on to it.
"Whatever." I shrug. "Where's the cereal?" Dan groaned something about having to do everything around the flat (which is a complete lie, by the way) and pulled a box of Country Crisp from behind a stack of magazines.
"Thank you, sweetie." I smiled and went up on tip-toes to kiss his nose.
"No problem." He ruffled my hair.

Dan's POV

"It's your first day at work tomorrow, you scared?" Phil mumbled into my neck. We were lying in our double bed. Although it was the middle of the afternoon, snuggling was one of our favourite things to do.
"Meh." I shrugged slightly, pulling Phil closer. "I'll miss you, though." I kissed the top of his head. "What will you do while I'm away?"
"Watch TV, play video games, that kind of thing." Phil licked the dip above my collar bone, making me shiver. "Hey, we need to buy laptops or something."
"Yeah... We do." I replied thoughtfully. There's a present I can get him on my way home I smiled to myself.
"Hey.." Phil said softly after a good few minutes of silence. "I was thinking.."
"Ooh, that's a start for you then." I giggle, making him laugh.
"But seriously now..." He stopped. "Will we ever go back and see your Mum and brother?" I gulped. Sensitive subject.
"Y-Yeah, probably.. Just.. Not now.. Not, like... We will, but I don't know when." I struggled to get my words out, images of PJ and Ellie flashing in my mind.
"Okay." Phil kissed my neck. "I'm sorry I brought it up."
"No.. It's fine..." I tried to convince him, but we both knew it wasn't fine, really.
"Nah, I'm sorry." Phil cuddled further into my side. I didn't reply, just continued to stroke his arm. We both slowly drifted in and out of consciousness, leaving small kisses wherever we could on the others body when they were asleep.
It was all so perfect, I knew it wouldn't last for long, but I hoped it would last forever.
